iGaming SEO, from someone who has actually run it.

Not an agency that read about the gambling industry. Five years managing SEO for a real platform with thousands of indexed pages, across six regulated markets, with a real team and a real budget — at an international iGaming operator.

In short

What is iGaming SEO

iGaming SEO is search engine optimisation applied to online casinos, sportsbooks, poker rooms and affiliate sites, in a context where every market has its own licence and its own advertising rules. It differs from general SEO for three reasons: competition on the head terms is among the fiercest in any industry, the content has to satisfy the compliance constraints of the jurisdiction it is published in, and the same brand usually has to be grown across several regulated markets at once — each with its own domain authority to build from scratch.

In practice that means technical SEO on large, fast-changing platforms, content that survives a compliance review before it goes live, and link building in a vertical where most publishers refuse gambling links outright.

The difference

Why iGaming SEO is not generic SEO with a casino theme

  • 01YMYL at its strictest. Google applies the same E-E-A-T scrutiny to gambling as it does to health and finance. Content written without genuine sector expertise simply does not rank on the terms that matter.
  • 02Link building is structurally hard. Very few authoritative sites link to a casino brand voluntarily. It takes real digital PR — content that earns the mention regardless of vertical — not shortcuts that risk a manual action.
  • 03Multi-licence geo-compliance. An operator licensed across ADM, UKGC and MGA needs different content per jurisdiction without breaking international indexing: correct hreflang, never a forced server-side IP redirect.
  • 04Whitehat cloaking. Adapting product and messaging to the user’s jurisdiction while staying inside Google’s guidelines is a balance you learn in production, not from an industry blog post.

Markets I’ve actually worked

  • GermanyFrom zeroDomain authority built from literally nothing through digital PR and link building, with a pillar content strategy that became the single biggest driver of the site’s unbranded traffic. #1 for «blackjack tabelle».
  • ItalyTop 3 «online casino»Top 3 on Google for «online casino» and #1 for «live casino», owning the entire SEO process from 2021 in one of Europe’s most competitive markets.
  • Austria · Spain · Netherlands · New ZealandSame SEO roadmap ownership and CMS migration responsibility (custom-to-custom), with the same discipline on sitemaps and cannibalisation prevention.
  • Malta (MGA)Lived itLived and worked there for years, the industry’s international hub. Hands-on experience with MGA-licensed operators and locally non-regulated markets — an angle that takes having lived it, not just studied it.

UK, USA and Ontario are opportunities, not claims. They are real markets by search volume, but not ones where I have run a live licensed platform. The roadmap experience above is Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Malta/MGA — I would rather say that than backfill a claim that isn’t true.

Services

What I offer

  1. 01

    Link building strategy & consulting

Backlink profile audit, acquisition plan, in-house team training. Consulting, not link supply — in an industry where buying links the wrong way is the fastest route to a penalty.

  2. 02

    iGaming-specialised technical audit

Geo-redirects, whitehat cloaking, multi-licence hreflang — the three places a generic SEO audit falls short, and the ones that cause the most expensive damage during production CMS migrations.

  3. 03

    Conversion-focused UX/UI consulting

Audit and recommendations on deposit funnels, KYC onboarding and conversion rate optimisation — consulting only, no implementation or development.

FAQ

What people
ask me about iGaming

What does an iGaming SEO agency do?

It grows the organic visibility of a gambling brand — an online casino, a sportsbook, a poker room or an affiliate site — across the markets where that brand holds a licence. Concretely: technical SEO on large platforms where pages and promotions change constantly, content that has to pass a compliance review before it can go live in each jurisdiction, and link building in a vertical where most publishers refuse gambling links outright. The compliance layer is what separates it from general SEO: the same page often cannot be published unchanged in two different regulated markets.

How do I choose an iGaming SEO agency?

The vertical is small and the claims are loud, so the useful filters are narrow. Ask three things: which regulated markets they have actually operated in (not just written about), whether they can show rankings you can verify yourself in the SERPs rather than screenshots of dashboards, and how they acquire links — in iGaming, the wrong link-buying approach is the fastest route to a manual penalty. Be sceptical of anyone guaranteeing a specific position by a specific date: nobody can.

Do you only work with casino operators?

No. I also work with sportsbooks, affiliates, crypto casino platforms, esports betting, and game studios or payment providers on B2B SEO.

Do you do link building for iGaming?

Consulting and strategy — backlink profile audit, acquisition plan, in-house team training — not link supply. In this industry, buying links the wrong way is the fastest route to a penalty. Detail on iGaming link building consulting.

How do you handle multi-licence compliance (ADM, UKGC, MGA)?

With correct hreflang and content differentiated per jurisdiction, never a forced server-side IP redirect — a technical balance (whitehat cloaking) you learn by running it in production, while staying inside Google’s guidelines.

Do you have direct experience in every market, or only some?

Direct experience across six regulated markets — Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands and New Zealand — plus Malta/MGA. On the UK, the USA and Ontario the work is being built: I treat those as market opportunities backed by data, and I say so plainly rather than claiming experience I do not have.

How much does iGaming SEO consulting cost?

€200/hour. Higher than generic SEO consulting because the work is different: multi-licence, compliance review, and markets where one technical mistake costs visibility across an entire country. The first analysis is free and covers one market, enough to tell whether it makes sense to work together. A full multi-jurisdiction audit is a project of its own, quoted after that first analysis. For ongoing work, a retainer is shaped after the audit: no two operators are alike.
